How Do Ductless AC Systems Work?

The discharge line will help send the refrigerant back to the outdoor unit. The refrigerant will then go through the process again to help keep the indoor unit cool.

Types of Ductless Systems 

There are a few different types of ductless systems. The most common types are known as either a mini-split or a ductless mini-compressor system. These units are designed to help you cool spaces that are up to 3,000 square feet in size. The outdoor unit includes a compressor that is designed to help create cool refrigerant. This refrigerant is then sent through a line that is known as a condensing line. The line includes a compressor that is known as a condenser. The condenser is designed to help cool the refrigerant even further. The refrigerant is then sent through a line that is known as a line set. The line set is buried underground or it is placed in a wall. The line set will help deliver the refrigerant to the indoor unit.
