The idea of zoning for heating and air conditioning is simple: It gives the user control over temperature in separate areas of the home. Do you turn on every faucet in the building just to wash your hands? Does every light in the home turn on when you flip a single lamp switch? The answer is no. Zoning simply provides the same control.
Forced air zoning is a system that uses multiple thermostats and automatic dampers in your home’s ductwork, to intelligently control the air flow to every register in the house. Like a traffic cop, it directs the heated or cooled air only to the areas that require it.
