What Is Done to the Furnace?
Standard Furnace Refresh ($1,058 non-member/$899 Comfort Club)
- Set gas pressure
- Set Temperature rise per furnace spec
- When demand gets high, we prioritize service to Comfort Club Members only
- Clean and vacuum out cabinet
- Perform a heat exchanger review
- Replace batteries in the thermostat
- Visual inspection of all components
- Remove and clean burners and test temperature rise
- Blow out drain line (clean condensate pump as needed)
- We replace the pressure switch(es), igniter, and flame sensor, blower motor capacitor
- Test system static pressure (i.e., blood pressure of the system)
Standard Furnace Refresh Plus ($1,293 non-member/$1,099 Comfort Club)
We do all the above, plus:
- Remove and clean blower motor and wheel
- Clean and visually inspect secondary heat exchanger (on 90% furnaces)
- Perform a complete visual inspection of heat exchange via open blower compartment (on 80% furnaces)
What Is Done to the Air Conditioner or Heat Pump?
Standard Air Conditioner or Heat Pump Refresh ($1,643 non-member/$1,397 Comfort Club Member)
- Check Refrigerant level (R410a only- add up to 2 lbs)
- Test operation and safety
- Clean out bottom of condenser
- Replace batteries in the thermostat
- Visual inspection of all components
- Blow out drain line (clean condensate pump as needed)
- Test temperature drop, refrigerant pressures, and levels rise
- Replace dual capacitor, contactor, condenser motor (std PSC Motors only) and blade
Maintenance of equipment is very important to American Weathermakers, and safety is our main concern for our customer having regular maintenance on any appliance in their home.
Standard Air Conditioner or Heat Pump Refresh Plus ($1,884 non-member/$1,601 Comfort Club Member)
We do all the above, plus:
- Remove and clean blower motor and wheel (in furnace)
- Upgrade replacement parts to use Turbo 200 dual capacitor and a SureSwitch, which adds protection to the compressor and monitors voltage
- This process increases those two parts to a 5-year warranty.
- All other warranties are as stated depending on Comfort Club Status.
Warranty on Services
- All of the above has 1-year parts and labor on all parts installed, plus a No Breakdown Guarantee for the full heating season
- Comfort Club members get the Standard Warranty increases to two years parts and labor on all installed parts
- No coupons needed for Comfort Club members; all discounts applied.
