Glencoe, IL Heating, Cooling & Plumbing

American Weathermakers is your top source for HVAC services in Glencoe, Illinois

American Weathermakers is the best choice for Glencoe residents. Our patrons have trusted us with their air conditioning and heating needs since 1949. Our goal is to make Glencoe one of the best places to live in America.

With nearly 9,000 people residing in Glencoe, we've been the household name HVAC provider for their homes for years. In addition to handling air conditioning and heating repairs, we're recognized for our advanced service for many other HVAC-related repairs and products, including:

Home Comfort Checkups - Our most recommended service to our Glencoe home owners is our Home Comfort Checkup.

Air Quality Control - Glencoe residents can expect to get the best advice and products for air filter replacements, upgrades and repairs and humidity control.

Sump Pump Maintenance - There is an increased potential for floods in homes with a lower level. Since many homes in Glencoe have basements, the chance for flooding can be a problem. To offset this common risk, American Weathermakers will install or boost your current sump pump system.

Water Heaters - Typically, a family of four will use 2,000 gallons of hot water each month - if your water heater isn't working correctly, it can lead to a lot of money wasted.

Boiler Services - American Weathermakers offers all the products and services you need for all boiler system needs to keep you warm and comfortable during cold months.

Home Zoning Systems - American Weathermakers can divide your home's ductwork system into specific zones so you can heat or cool rooms at designated times, which saves you money and prevents energy loss.

Insulation Services - If your home is older than a decade, it may not be as insulated as you think. Poor insulation lead to lost temperature-controlled air and an increase in energy costs.

If any part of your HVAC system needs attention, not just the mentioned common products and services, count on us to send a professional HVAC technician to your Glencoe home that'll address all your concerns and give you the best advice about what will work well for you.

Glencoe, Illinois is a smaller village located on the northern border of Cook County and is part of the area's North Shore. It is home to about 9,000 residents. The late 19th century and early 20th century saw many tasteful homes being built in Glencoe. There are homes built by renowned architects such as David Adler, George Washington Maher and many others. There are also several structures designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.

Glencoe has a Village Manager form of government. It had one of the first public safety departments (combined police/fire/paramedic). In 1921, it adopted the first zoning code in Illinois. It is predominantly a single-family residential area, with no industrial uses. It has a small, interconnected business district that provides most basic services, including a post office, a library, Village Hall and a performing arts theatre. In the last 20 years, major reconstruction has been completed of its street and sidewalk network. The business district has had brick sidewalks and period streetlights installed. Many public buildings have been or are being remodeled. The private golf clubs have seen major remodeling, additions, and reconstruction.
